Dallas Supercross – First Round of East Coast Lites

As the Monster Energy Supercross series moved to what they call the “East Coast” series, We All Ride got to add two new faces to the series in lites racers #57 Jake Canada and #78 Tommy Weeck. The boys would be under the MotoConcepts race rig tent along side with the calm and collected Alessi brothers. After a solid ride out in San Diego by #800 Mike Alessi he was looking for something more and in Dallas he would find that more.

As the day begin just like any other race day, the boys headed out to practice and both Tommy and Jake were looking strong and quick and both coming back from the same prior injury.  #78 Tommy Weeck had an unfortunate crash in practice and thus leaving him out of Saturday nights show. Tommy being the positive guy he is, was a little bummed but beyond excited to come back next week and show ATL what he’s got!

#57 Jake Canada - Jake got to get all of his nerves out right away as he was in the first heat race of the night. Jake moved his way through the pack and finished strong in 7th place to move right in to the night show. Jake would finish in a solid 7th place for the night show as well and opened some eyes that the #57 would be a house hold name this season! We All Ride looks forward to seeing what Jake can bring to the table each weekend!

#801 Jeff Alessi – Next up was the big boys heat race one featuring Jeff Alessi. Jeff got a great jump and was able to get out front and battle with Ryan Villopoto and Broc Tickle on the first couple laps. Jeff would end up finishing in 7th for his heat race for his heat race. In the main event is where everyone got to see the Alessi signature hole shot his brother is known for but this time it was both Jeff and Mike fighting for that first corner and that prize money. Jeff is still regaining strength in his wrist and recovering some stamina to last for the full 20-lap moto main event. Jeff would finish in 19th place but was able to once again make the main event.

#800 Mike Alessi – In heat #2 Mike would not get the best start and found him self early picking off guys to move into a transferable spot! Mike would easily finish into 9th place and get the last transfer spot for the night’s main event. Mike was extremely frustrated after his heat race but that frustration would later turn into a smile after the night’s main event. Mike and Jeff both jumped out to the front immediately for the main event and Mike would get passed by a few people and that left him in about 5th place behind the likes of Reed and Villopoto. After Reed’s scary accident that would move Mike up into 4th place giving him his best finish of the year in Supercross! Mike looks to put the MCR450 and We All Ride up on the podium next week in ATL!

Thanks again for all of our We All Ride supporters and come on out and cheer on the MotoConcepts team with us this weekend in ATL!
